This workshop is intended for students in their first year of college. Your first year in college can be absolutely daunting and research has proven when students excel in their first year they often graduate. We will discuss best practices, tips and tricks on how to establish a strong foundation in your first year. Students will be challenged to seek out the resources shared and to develop their own first year gameplan.

The workshop will go over the essentials of establishing effective communication skills to help you succeed in the classroom, your student organizations, and in the "real world"
Audience: Latinx Students, Student Club/Organization Leaders
The day to day grind of student leadership can be exhausting. This workshop will infuse some cultural Latinx tenets with best practices on how to build resilience to get through those tough times. This interactive workshop will challenge students to engage virtually and go through the 5 steps throughout the workshop. Students will be able to leave with tangible skills that they can apply to their leadership positions, but also in their everyday life.

This workshop seeks to combine organizational leadership theories and the Philadelphia 76ers organization to discuss how to create sustainable positive change! Students will learn about leadership positions in their organizations, the power of advising, and the importance of strength based recruiting.

This culturally infused workshop utilizes the popular Latin American board game, Dominó, to discuss skills
that are necessary to be an effective communicator in your student organizations. You do not need to know how to play
the game to participate in this interactive workshop to strengthen your communication skills.

Culturally based fraternities and sororities are such unique student organizations to advise and retain on college campuses. This workshop shares research, common practices, and strategies to help increase retention of culturally based fraternities and sororities. The workshop stresses the importance of culturally competence for advisors that oversee these organizations on their campuses.

Audience: Fraternity & Sorority Student Leaders
Wearing Greek letters across your chest means you represent something bigger than yourself. This workshop will challenge participants to reflect on their individual and organizational values. We will discuss the power Greek Letter Organizations hold and how now, more than ever, is the time for action.
